How hard is it to get DC jobs? |

I am a 2L at Columbia, planning on interviewing in both NYC and DC, but hoping to end up in DC mainly because I want to focus on international trade/government work. How difficult will it be for me to get a position in DC? (I am also considering moving to the public sector later in my career, once those loans are paid off!) I have never lived there before, and have heard that is a problem. I do have a family contact there.
Secondly, how competitive do my grades have to be? I have about an A minus average (2 Bs, 4 A minuses, and 1 A). Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!
