You'll always make more as an Ibanker (unless you're a top partner at a top law firm in NYC). Even in shitty years, the partners at the big banks pull in millions, while only a handful of law firms compensate their partners like that. The good bankers don't get laid off even in recessions. Plus, it's easier to make partner or director at an Ibank than it is to make partner at a law firm in nyc. Bottom line is: if you want to make serious money, choose banking over law. |

You don't need lots of education to be filty rich.
Both JD and MBA from top ranked schools are safe tickets to good jobs. I agree that top MBA is better.
JD or MBA from low ranked school is just a fast ticket to having lots of debt and not having a good job.
