How advantageous is it to participate in the SEO corp. law program? Will I regret passing up the opportunity when I apply for 1L SA positions next year.
I'm from CA and have young siblings at home. This is my last summer to spend with them before starting at YLS. I'm basically weighing the future advantages in recruiting against spending time "doing nothing" at home. Your advice would be MUCH appreciated!!!!!!! |

seo corp law alums have told me that seo isn't as big among law firms as it is among i-banks. of course, that means should you choose to go into banking, you'd be set, as if having YLS alone wasn't enough.
seo is the best law internship you can do before law school...since it is the ONLY one. the alums have told me that it'll teach you so much things about law firms that you'll be ahead of pretty much everyone else in law school.
also, supposedly Sullivan & Cromwell and 1 other firm (forget which one) extend 1L SA positions to SEO interns, so entering that lottery alone makes seo worth it, IMO.
