In Reply To: I'm fortunate enough to get accepted to the LLM programs at Columbia, NYU, Cornell, and Penn. I'd appreciate any advice on which school I should pick. My objective is to land on a biglaw job in NYC or DC, doing corporate work. In the long term, I'll also consider working in Asia. Thank you in advance.
Message: Although most questions on this board are pretty stupid, this one isn't. Do you have a JD from an American law school? Columbia has the best JD program, and is in NYC which is important for finding jobs at BIGLAW which is also located in NYC. I'd say Columbia is your best bet... if you are a foreign student. It's not clear that the taint of a crappy American JD degree can be overcome with an LLM from an Ivy League school.
