In Reply To: I keep hearing on these boards that the moeny you owe because of loans you took out for law school can lead to many problems for people wanting to pursue governemnt jobs, or lower salary professions, but would be unable to do so because of the high amount of money they owe. My question is whether law school offer financial assistance in a way that you dont have to pay it back after graduation? And if so, what percentage of your tuition will it cover?
Message: Why would you WANT to pursue a low salary occupation? If you want a low salary, the local Target has a help wanted sign. If you go to a top 14 law school, the job at BIGLAW will pay back the loans fast enough. Yes, I think some of those schools have loan forgiveness programs for people pursuing public interest work. If you don't get into a top 14 school, then there is no loan forgiveness and no job. Hell, I couldn't even find a job in the low paying public sector. I couldn't find any jobs. It just sucked. All that debt and no job.
