In Reply To: I'm looking for a reality check, and would appreciate any honest feedback. I will graduate next year from a California Bar school (non-ABA), valedictorian, highest GPA in school's history, moot court, law review editor, and with a state appellate clerkship/internship. Do I have a chance to crack into a first- or second-tier firm? Or will they just look at my non-ABA J.D. and file my resume in the bin? Also, what is the value of my employment experience? I have a year doing discovery for an Ins.Def. firm, and will have a year of NASD arbitration/litigation experience by graduation. Any comments would be appreciated.
Message: you can get fed and state jobs, though!
