If you get a JD/MBA and then go into business, would you still take the bar exam? How long does it take to study for the bar exam, 3 months? |

I chose to go into the Tech Industry with my MBA/JD. I started in a competitive intelligence group (evaluating the compeitition for executive staff).
For this position they were only considering MBAs with 5+ years experience. I was able to get in with a JD, selling my analytical and strategic skills developed in law school.
In the interview I was asked if I had passed the bar, which I had. Passing the bar gives so much more leverage. You are seen as an attorney pursuing one of many options, as opposed to a law school graduate who just couldn't pass the bar.
