100% bonuses may be a thing of the past for awhile, but it is still a really special firm. If you've ever been to the NY office and talked with some of the people there you know what I mean. They are on top and they know it, but they are still a down-to-earth friendly bunch of people. I would still work there in a second before I went to S+C or Cravath, even without 100% bonuses.
And yes, there are St. John's Law people there, but that just goes to show that their desire for talent overrides their elitism. I think NYU law students have the best shot there, though. |

an extra 100k, whatever. You'll still think it's peanuts considering how hard you'll work and how little of a life you'll have. Wachtell's important for one thing--making partner. Those guys make a ton of money--3 million a year. That's a lot of money.
