I am a 2L with an offer from a
magistrate in SDNY. Is it better to wait, practice for a few years, and clerk for a Dist. Judge later? |

We all get jaded about good fortune, just because it is not better fortune. A magistrate clerkship may not be a full DJ clerkship, but it is a nice ribbon anyway.
Take the clerkship, then go into practice. You'll get a lot of ribbon value from the clerkship, magistrate or no.
