I have been wondering the thing myself. How much do tax attorneys make? But, as with all other salary questions, I think the answer is best presented on a sliding scale... how much to tier one graduates make in tax law, how much can those of us not from tier one/possessing average law grades expect to make? Obviously these are not the same.
Also, how does a Masters in Business Taxation from a top ten accounting program stack up with an LLM in the eyes of tax firms? |

I don't think the MBT is a degree for someone with a JD in hand. I know that at least one LLM program offers the MBT in the same program as the LLM, but I think the better schools don't. If you are a lawyer you should get an LLM -- if there is a focus difference, you may get more law and less accounting in the LLM.
