My current options would allow me to go to brooklyn on a full time basis or attend fordham on a part time basis with the possibility of transfering to the full time division later.
should I just go to brooklyn full time or go to the higher ranked school on a part time basis for a semester?

You can do either and work out okay. I'd be inclined to do Fordham part time, because your hiring prospects will be better. In order to make it work, you'd want to work in a 9 to 5 kinda job that offers the low stress conducive to best law school performance.
My guess is that transferring to day division later will not be that big a deal. If you are, understandably, the kind of person who just can't imagine working and going to school, then Brooklyn is a fine choice, but I'd stretch a bit and do the higher ranked school part-time instead. Best of fortune--either choice will still come out okay.
