LOSERS. The study of law is for those lame-brains who couldn't hack the quantitative fields like accounting, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, computer science, operations, engineering, physics, etc.. But these idiots still wanted to wear a suit and tie to work so they took the LSATs. If they had any real brains they would be securities traders or bankers. One always hears about lawyers wishing they could somehow switch to banking but one absolutely never hears of a banker wanting to be a lawyer. What makes me glad is that you stupid lawyers are working yourselves to death. I'm just waiting to hear about some corporate lawyer on the Street dying from severe exhaustion. When I do I'll laugh my head off! I'm slao glad to hear that most of you arrogant lawyer SOBs are greatly dissatisfied with your jobs and lives. So much work but so little money. Good! I'm glad you're all rotting at your law firms and after this you'll still have hell to look forward to. And don't think of coming over to the BB IBs over here. Stay away from us and leave us smart, well-compensated people alone. If you want to leave law choose some equally underpaid bogus career like strategic consulting or business development. But its not all bad. Look on the bright side; WE're overpaid, overpriviledged, and oversexed! |

I agree with you to some extent. In NY, bankers and traders rule. They run the town. Lawyers are pretty much of an afterthought (as in "ed, call the lawyer in compliance to make sure our $50 million trade is O.K. See you at Moran's after work.") Lawyers work their butts off supporting the bankers.
An analogy:
Paralegals are to lawyers as lawyers are to bankers
