I was admitted into Northwestern with a 3.4 and 164 and simultaneously waitlisted at Penn. I am wondering what sort of criteria these schools use since they seem to have the same admittance standards. Any idea if this waitlist pretty much reveals my chance of admittance to Columbia and NYU (ie should I stop being hopeful?) |

I am currently a 1L at NYU and all I can say is don't worry - just relax until you get the letter. You can speculate all that you'd like - but in the end, you can never really be sure what the school wants. Being admitted/ waitlisted/ rejected is no sure indicator of what another school will do. So be hopeful and don't stress about it.
