Dont chase money!! if you choose to study something because you really ENJOY it you will be far better off.... I know a lot of people who chased money and went into the traditional so called high paying careers - doctors lawyers consultants etc.- and after a year or two they found out that they didn't like the day to day JOB and were stuck for awhile because their salaries were too high for them to take the chance to do anything else... At a young age, you may think that lots of money will be all you will need to make your life better, but once you get the money, you will need to REALLY ENJOY your job before you can feel happy..... Money in itself is not what makes people happy... |

Your comments demonstrate that you are an individual with a good, firm grasp on life and reality.
I must say, however, that they are more than likely to fall on mostly deaf ears here.
I've learned from my experience with law students while in law school and lawyers that they live for ego.
I say, let them work their asses off (the partners will use them, of course) and waste the best years of their lives on the bs practice of law, chasing money and possessions to satiate their own egos.
Better them than me.
I make good money, about half of what an Associate at a BIGLAW firm does - this will increase as time passes - and I love what I do. I also work good hours and have a life.
The best thing I ever did was to walk away from the law.
