If you want to work in the US, you definitely need to go to law school in the US. US law firms, in general, don't regard the Canadian law schools very highly. On the other hand, if you go to a well regarded US law school, US law firms can better assess your ability to practice law and will be more willing to offer you a job. Good luck.
