Message: I would say that the prep courses are really good for two sorts of people: a) those that aren't doing so well and need the little tidbits of info that Kaplan or Princeton Review gives or b) those that can't sit down for three or four hours straight twice a week four months or more before the BIG day. Personally, I fell into the latter and Kaplan kept me honest. I wouldn't say that I really learned anything that the $30 books couldn't teach me in the class itself but it got me to sit down and do the work. I believe that the Logic Games (which most people have problems with at first) are the easiest thing to improve on. Once you learn the methodology to them, it almost becomes fun! However, no course can teach you how to read a page long essay and analyze it afterwards in four minutes or so - that's something that is a product of having spent a lifetime reading. Good luck!
