In Reply To: I had a 3.32 and a 172. Here are the results of my applications: Rejected at Stanford, Berkeley and Harvard. Waitlisted at Boston College, Duke, Chicago, NYU and Columbia. Accepted at Cornell, Georgetown, Northwestern, and Michigan. As you can see, I applied to most of the top schools, since I was also unsure of the effect of my low GPA. My experience has been that the LSAT is the determining factor, and the GPA is less important at most top schools. I say go for the best school you could possibly imagine yourself getting in to. If the rest of your application is bulletproof, your dream may come true. Good Luck!
Message: I actually think that some schools mean it when they say that GPA/LSAT isn't determinative. I was accepted at a top 15 school and a bunch of second-tier schools with a 2.15 undergrad GPA and a 163 LSAT (and I don't fall into any particularly favored demographic cohort).
