What does "of counsel" at a firm mean? |
| Message: |
It depends on the firm. Sometimes it does mean a more junior partner. At other firms, it can mean a partner who has retired from "equity status" but would like to keep working at the firm. Sometimes it's a senior attorney brought into a firm who needs a title to reflect their experience. It can often mean a prestigious post without the pressure of rainmaking.
