Hi. I was scheduled to take the Oct. test but since I was having a hard time finishing the most recent games in 35 minutes I changed the date to the Dec. test. I need help on 2 fronts.
1. How do I finish the most recent games in 35 minutes? It's taking me anywhere from 40-48 minutes. I have the games bible and have worked through it. Is there a different way I need to approach this?
2. The arguments are my weakest section. On 1 section I can miss anywhere from 1 -8 questions. I have the Master the LSAT book and have heard this can be helpful in attacking the arguments. How do I go about this? Even when I look at old tests and the questions I missed I'm unsure of what makes the answer I chose wrong.
I would appreciate sound advice. Thanks. |

Sorry this is so long since you posted. My best suggestion on timing (ie., speed) is to practice practice practice timing yourself - work on Logical Reasoning questions - 25 or so at at time for 30 minutes until you can finish them all. Same with 4 Reading Comps. I just struggled to get one game done and the List Questions in the others - I had such a hard time learning to do a game that getting up to speed was beyond me. On Reading Comp, skim all 4 topics and choose the easiest one for you, then the next easiest, etc . . you have approximately 8 minutes each on Reading Comp - Try reading very slowly, then once you have the material down (make notes on where the point of view changes, any list items, "Dr. Jones had three theories . . " and whose point of view is being discussed - I found smiley faces and frowns helpful . . . art critic negative (frown) . . . theory of relativity good (smile) and quick. Once you can answer the questions accurately in about 2 minutes . . .work on your speed in reading to 6.
