In Reply To: Many schools don't actively interview - many also interview only selectively - to confirm or seek more information on borderline decisions - - - however: you can always REQUEST an interview at almost any school. Sometimes you should, esp. if it looks like your option is either not getting in or taking advantage of the chance to sell yourself.
Message: Yes you can REQUEST an interview... you can also REQUEST a full scholarship with living expences and a new car. Asking does not mean they will grant your request. Schools I have asked say they DO NOT interview (even if you ask nicely) that is the role of the PS
