I've taken 3 practice tests with minimal practice, got 145-152 range. But I absolutely NEED 170+ cause my GPA is only 2.57.
Is it possible to go from the 150's to 170+ in one and half months??? Help, PLEASE! |

OK, first, stop taking practice tests until you do some actual studying of the stuff that's on the tests! You're wasting your time if you're just taking practice tests.
You're looking for a pretty huge increase in your score, and I'd say it's not likely unless you do one of two things: 1) start studying seriously (see above) or 2) take a prep course. Or do both. If you are looking to hit 170+, and you're not getting anywhere prepping on your own, you should take a class.
I was digging around on a Yahoo group earlier (From LSAT to the Bar, it's very helpful, a lot less nastiness than here!), and one woman wrote rave reviews of her Princeton Review prep class. I didn't think about it until she said it, but with all the extra help they give you, it's like having an 80-hour class, or your own tutor. I can buy the official LSAT's on my own, so there goes the so-called competitive advantage of the other guys. PR's closer to me anyway, so I'm very likely going to sign up for that. I already KNOW I won't do well without a course. I absolutely suck at these tests.
So try studying big-time on your own, take another practice test, and see how you do. You may not have time for a course, but if you're not scoring much better, you really might wanna think about waiting until next year and giving yourself more time to prep. When I read that the law schools average your LSAT scores, I freaked. I am not applying this year because I won't be ready for December 7! Maybe the Feb test, but that might be too late. I'd rather be on the late side or have to wait a year than have to retake and get a lower score because of the averaging...or not get in to my first choice school.
Anyone else hate this whole process?! Blech!
