In Reply To: to get into a top school. Just charisma, class, and a well-rounded background (not including high-level connections). I got into Georgetown, Columbia, and Harvard last year with a 3.4 and in the 86th percentile of the LSAT. Oh, yeah, but I did attend a prestigious university for undergrad. That certainly helps.
Message: I have to say, your take on law school apps is the diametric opposite of what most people say. You say prestigious undergrad and charisma are important, while almost everyone else says undergrad reputation is virtually irrelevant, personality counts for nil, and numbers are all that matters. But you know what? You're the one who defied the conventional wisdom (which is usually wrong anyway), so I tend to give your take more credence.
