Your congratulations mean a lot. Believe me, I'm beaming again reading them. I'm a lucky duck for sure - must have been the Buddhist prayer beads my girlfriend gave me to wear.
You called it, gurdonark, 173 on the nose as I recall.
And absolutely, cdawggy, tear it up in December. Let me know if I can help.
As for apps, Washington Univ. allowed me to defer while applying to other schools, so from here on out the sights are set on CCN (wishin and hopin), Mich, Duke, Penn, NW, G-town, and Cornell. One wildcard of course is the old score of 165, but I'll make my case to the adcomms (score's three years old, taken shortly after I had moved to a new country and started a new job, on a day when I was under the weather, etc. - plus - My composite scores on both the SAT in high school and GRE as an undergrad put me in the 99%tile, so I may use that to demonstrate the recent score is in the more historically "true" range).
At any rate, even a 169 average should keep me out of the auto-ding pile, and then it's just a matter of allowing my lor and ps to cast their spell. Keeping my fingers crossed and looking forward to reaching the next stage of the campaign with fellow vaultsters.
Sweet dreams, everybody.
