My oh my, sweet apple pie. Until I get my full score report and disclosed test form I'm not going to have any idea how, but I stayed up till midnight last nite (Seoul time) waiting for telscores to release. Lo and behold that automated, come-hither female voice on the other end said the almost-magic words I longed to hear: "173, 99th percentile."
It's not the 175+ score I had my heart set on before the exam, but it's a hell of a far cry from the mid sixtyish score I stumbled out of the test center dreading. You guys knew how badly I felt about that exam. I added it up a hundred different ways after taking it, and there was just NO WAY I was going to break 170.
All I can think is I must have virtually aced arguments, guessed right on a couple of games questions, and somehow honed in on credited response in that last 8-minute dash through the final two reading passages (the section I really thought would do me in).
I'm back in the hunt, folks. Thanks for all the nice words i heard from you following the test. I seriously came within a breath of canceling that score, but everyone calmed me down and helped me decide to wait on it.
How did it come out for the rest of you? fred, et al. let's hear it.
