I am hoping that someone currently attending one of the law schools on my list can give me his or her thoughts on what kind of LSAT score I'll need to have a good chance of getting into these schools:
Yale
Harvard
Stanford
Columbia
NYU
Chicago
Berkeley
Georgetown
I just took the oct.5 exam, and I think I scored in the high 160s (but who knows?) i'm a black female with a 3.96 from a state u. I double majored in economics and political science, and finished 2nd in a class of 385. i played college athletics and then played my sport professionally for a little while. now i'm a consultant with a top firm. i'll have strong recs, as well.
any thoughts are appreciated!

Don't let anyone tell you that you are screwed. Apply and see which ones accept you, that will be your best guage. From you post, it looks like you have a wonderful potential to get accepted to any of the schools on your list. Make sure that when you write your personal statement you take the time to reread, refine, and reread it again. Most schools claim they look at more than your GPA and LSAT, so take your shot at applying. In any event, don't let others discourage you away from your goals.
By the way, I do not know how you are planning to finance school, or perhaps that you are eligible for scholarships, but be sure to look at the costs of each school, how much each is willing to give or not give for scholarship money when you choose which school to accept to. Law school is expensive and getting through it with as little debt as possible will help you the most in the long run. Good Luck to you.
