In Reply To: if PR is the way to go. I appreciate your imput though...my work ethic is strong but I am not sure if PR can give me something that I cannot get out of those books. By the way, who wrote "Master the LSAT?" Another student just told me that not taking PR is a huge mistake--that it would really increase my score (timed: 164). Still so undecided and the class starts this Saturday!
Message: My friend Shannon took the PR course a few years ago, got the score she wanted, and got into her first choice school (she just graduated in May, actually!). She really liked the course and thought it was helpful. They've since added extra online lessons as part of the course, and I've heard those are very helpful. I think the course could be helpful, but either way, if you're diligent and practice regularly and make a strong effort, you should do fine. What PR can give you, though, is help on problem areas that a book probably can't. The logic games are especially tough, and people who are self-prepping are always on these boards asking for help there. Think about it this way: the class could give you some extra confidence, help you conquer any weak areas because you'll have access to experts, and if it does raise your score from 164 to 170 or thereabouts, that could have a big impact on whether and where you get in. The only mistake you'll make is not studying hard, so since you've signed up for the course, give it your best and take serious advantage of it. They promise all the free help you want, so take them up on that and get your money's worth!!
