I am signed up for the PR course to prep for the December 7 LSAT and I am really not sure if it is worth the money. I ordered the PowerScore Logic Bible and have numerous other LSAT study guides (Kaplan, PR, etc.). Any advice here? It is just a lot of $$ for something I might be better off doing on my own. Any advice is appreciated! |

I took PR. It was great for someone like me, who needs a structured environment (and who does the absolute minimal amount of work outside of the classroom setting)... I was really happy with the course - I got a great score without spending a ton of time studying on my own (I barely did the PR "homework", and I did not even look at any other materials)... my LSAT score went up 9 points from the first PR practice test (I only took the LSAT once.)
In any case, if you are someone who can study diligently on your own on a regular basis - get the books and do it yourself. There is nothing in the actual classroom instruction that you can't get from the PR manuals (or from other reputable manuals.) As I see it, the only advantage of the course is that, once you've paid that much $, you feel compelled to attend the classes and to do at least some work. That was the advantage I got out of it.
Good Luck!
