In Reply To: Byu is more of a regional than national Law school and the degree may not carry too much weight outside of Utah. I am trying to get into Utah and it is pretty close in recogintion and prestige to BYU. I know that neither is too difficult to get into and if you are in the 160s you should be able to get in. Of course that depends how low is low with the GPA. My biggest issue with BYU is the Honor Code and would not be able to sign the document for several reasons. that is I think the school is good and I would consider it if I didn't have to change how I choose how I live for three years. Also the honor code applies not just while you are on campus. Of course if you are a member of the Church that owns BYU you should have the same issues. Cheers and Good luck (are you from Utah or are you planning on moving here if you get in I live in Ut and can give you info on what there is to do if you need it)
Message: I am from California, and I want to practice in west coast. BYU is one of the best value for the money. I have real reasons for low GPA and I am hoping that they will look at letters from counselors and doctors. I am aiming for high 160s, in Dec. It would be good to have your contact. Thanks,
