Hi, I'd like to go to law school and practice non-profit environmental law. Any suggestions as to how to do this - I don't care about the school tier, my eventual goal is to work on int'l environmental issues and also salary isn't a big issue for me. I'm kind of on a mission :) I know this is a kind of weird post, but I'm serious. Thanks for any thoughts. |

I did some informational interviews on environmental law with lawyers, environmental regulators, and admission reps some time ago. Market is saturated. Admission reps are tired of reading personal statements from people who want to save the spotted owl or the salmon. No one will pay you money to do this, and your environmental law work will be on property issues and the occassional pollution law violation by industry (most of these get settled long before an attorney gets hired). Good luck; hope you have a trust fund.
