In Reply To: Honestly, there is such a huge volume of applicants to law school that it really depends on where you plan to go savage54. If they use that negligible offense as a means to throw out your application it's simply because they needed grounds to narrow their choices. Spread your applications over all tier choices and be flexible. But I honestly don't think that's a valid grounds for elimination. Good luck.
Message: I had a DUI, disorderly conduct, and was on disciplinary probation at my undergrad. No law school cared, they see that stuff all the time on applications. They'd only hold it against you if they thought the BAR would not admit you. You'd have to have a couple felonies or have a long recorded of dishonesty (stealing, no child support, etc.) for the bar to deny you admission. BTW: I am a 2L at a US News #25 school, I transferred from a tier 4 school.
