In Reply To: I made a beeline for an internet cafe as soon as the administration ended to hit the pr website and find out which was the experimental. Of course my heart sank when I learned the truth, and the one post that stuck in my craw was from someone who felt they had aced the scored RC. Just really felt that my nerves got the better of me on that one. So yeah, I guess there's some comfort in hearing you guys had it rough too. Thanks for that. I practiced the same way in RC, missing only one or two with rare exceptions. The one pitfall that I recognized beforehand was believing that I "should" get all the answers, and thereby stalling on an early difficult passage to make sure my responses were right. The domino effect then leads to having to push through one of the remaining passages - which didn't typically turn out badly as most answers would come out correct even though I didn't have time to confirm them. Recognized that danger but didn't steer clear of it when it really counted. The tough thing on Sunday was that none of the passages came easily to me anyway, knocking me off balance and meaning I had to push through TWO plus missing more than even the "push" average. I know, I know, it's all just crying in my beer at this point. What it boils down to is that I lost my focus and control for one section, had probably my worst RC ever, and consequently lost my shot at a stellar score and any chance at CCN. That full knowledge hit me like a ton of bricks at about 28:30 into section 4. I think it was an especially big blow for me because it's the first time I failed to achieve something I had really worked and striven for. I was well prepared and fully aware of the significance of the test, and on game day I just didn't give the championship performance I expected of myself. (Why is this starting to sound like my first sexual experience?) To those who nailed it, my humble congrtulations. Seriously. For better or worse, now it's app time. Gotta make do with what i got.
Message: At least wait until you get your score. ;) You may be surprised!
