Can someone help me understand part of the reading comprehension passage about burning trees: the last paragraph about the effects of burning in Nicaragua, Mexico, and Guatamala. Understanding of this part was tested in two questions. In one, the answer choices went something like: A) th US Southwest B) Nicaragua at high altitude C) the Mexican low lands D) Mexico at high altitude etc... and the answer choices for the other confusing question were something like: A) homogeneus mixed hardwoods B) heterogeneus pines C) heterogeneus tropical trees etc... anyway, any thoughts would be helpful, that last paragraph of the passage was lost on me, but i wanted some peace of mind.
