This sounds awfully like justification for being at a non top 14 school. Apologies if that's not the case.
The top 14 is, indeed, very real. The big firms interview at the top 14 (and UT occasionally) and some regional schools. That's it. Beyond those few school, your options become more regionally-defined. |

from what i recall from these boards, gurdonark has been out of school a while. that probably gives him enough distance to see things a little clearly.
part of the problem with these boards is that most of the posters are law students, and most of the questions demand the perspective of someone who's no longer in that position. instead we get the blind leading the blind.
top 14, jesus, who gives a fuck? enough already.
