My freshman year of college I made a website on our school's server and I accidently used a copyrighted picture. I was given a verbal warning. Now I am wondering if the law schools are just going to see that I had a violation, no matter how small, and throw my application in the trash? I plan to put a small little letter in my application explaining it was an accident and that this has actually made me consider doing IP law. What do you think? Any ideas?!?!?! Thanks alot |

Honestly, there is such a huge volume of applicants to law school that it really depends on where you plan to go savage54. If they use that negligible offense as a means to throw out your application it's simply because they needed grounds to narrow their choices. Spread your applications over all tier choices and be flexible. But I honestly don't think that's a valid grounds for elimination. Good luck.
