In Reply To: My freshman year of college I made a website on our school's server and I accidently used a copyrighted picture. I was given a verbal warning. Now I am wondering if the law schools are just going to see that I had a violation, no matter how small, and throw my application in the trash? I plan to put a small little letter in my application explaining it was an accident and that this has actually made me consider doing IP law. What do you think? Any ideas?!?!?! Thanks alot
Message: Honestly, there is such a huge volume of applicants to law school that it really depends on where you plan to go savage54. If they use that negligible offense as a means to throw out your application it's simply because they needed grounds to narrow their choices. Spread your applications over all tier choices and be flexible. But I honestly don't think that's a valid grounds for elimination. Good luck.
