My freshman year of college I made a website on our school's server and I accidently used a copyrighted picture. I was given a verbal warning. Now I am wondering if the law schools are just going to see that I had a violation, no matter how small, and throw my application in the trash? I plan to put a small little letter in my application explaining it was an accident and that this has actually made me consider doing IP law. What do you think? Any ideas?!?!?! Thanks alot |

in fact, if you're not sure, call the school and speak to the registrar. they will be very helpful (if you don't call during the busy season).
be candid, and most of all, don't try to cover it up. you made a mistake, corrected it, and learned from it. that's a good thing.
