Moral of the Story |

I had a 3.0 from a top 10 university with a degree in engineering. I worked for several years, took the LSAT, scored 171, and applied to law schools. I took the time to put together solid applications and called professors with whom I had remained in contact for recommendations. All my applications were complete between 1 Nov and 10 Dec, and the results were quite positive. I was accepted to Duke, Chicago, Michigan, and COrnell among others. In conclusion, GPA is not everything, but you will have to work (good recs, good PS, high LSAT - practice, practice, practice)to compensate. Good luck. |

I think the real moral of the story is that the LSAT is one of the most "study-able" tests there are. Since the LSAT does not test any substantive knowledge like the MCATs, for example, all you have to do is practice, learn some techniques, and practice more.
For those willing to do the work, the LSAT will reward you quite nicely.
