In Reply To: Your chances depend on your numbers. What do you mean by 'low 160's'? What's your LSDAS GPA? If your LSAT is high enough, GW will probably take your improved performance into consideration. But you'd need an LSAT score that is in their range (164+). You might try applying to the evening program to increase your chances. You might want to look around at other schools. GW gets more applications than any other law school in the country. It's very competitive and very numbers driven. In my observation GW/BC/BU/Fordham make their decisions almost solely on the numbers, i.e. don't 'look past the numbers'. In fact, I've heard of 'interesting' candidates who were rejected by these schools who got into higher ranked schools.
Message: "164+ to be in their range"? Please - you can definitely get in with a 161/162 if your GPA is high enough. Check GW's admit grids from their websites. They are admitting almost 85% of all applicants with a 160+ LSAT and 3.75+.
