I am an attorney now two and a half years out of law school.
Life as an attorney, in a word, sucks.
I have not met more than a handful of attorneys who enjoy the job. Virtually everyone I've spoken to says if they had to do it again, they would have chosen a different career path. Whenever I mention this to someone outside of the law, I always recieve the bromide "But you can do anything with a law degree" in return.
I have yet to see postings seeking JDs outside of the law. So, my question is, "What, exactly, can you do with a law degree?"
More specificially, do jobs exist that are more creative, less demeaning, more fulfilling, and yet pay enough so that a body can still repay law school loans and also eat?
