In Reply To: I attend a historically black college whose reputation is pretty solid in the grad school forum. Do you think that the 3.6 is worth waiting for or should I just apply really early and just hope for the best? Thanks in advance for any feedback. Peace
Message: If you want to apply now to Columbia then I think you should go for it. Your LSAT score puts you in very rare company. The boost you might recieve from getting a 3.6 as opposed to a 3.5 is minimal at best. However, if you are trying for Yale or Stanford, then getting a year of work experience may not be a bad idea. But if Columbia, UChicago, Penn or Michigan is where you want to end up, then I think you have excellent chances at those institutions. You also have a shot at the other places, but of course with the "trinity" it's always a crap shoot. Good luck.
