Message: I am an Indian Citizen currently working on an H-1 Visa in the U.S (Tax Accountant). I went to under grad and grad school in the US My green card application is in process and i expect it best case scenario by the end of next year or worst case by end of 2004. I just took the LSAT (June '02) , scored 161 and want to go to law school as soon as i get my green card ( I won't qualify for loans, grants, etc otherwise). question #1 can i apply now (2003) and get a deferral of admission if i don't get my green card? how does deferral work? question #2 technically, i will have to apply as an international student - I guess this will handicap me in applying to state schools ( UNC - CH) since i won't be considered a resident. Are International students generally at a disadvantage or not? question #3 Is there any body who has attended part time school while on H-1 Visa? vs
