Nice Caddyshack name.
Neither NU or U of C gave me GPA ranges for transfers. But both said that unless I was in the top 10 percent of my class, that transferring from a tier 2 was unlikely. So far, without all the second semester grades in, I'm safely in the top 10 percent. I think U of C's website actually says that most successful transfer applicants are in the top ten percent of their class.

Does it matter if one is trying to transfer from first tier school? I not a 1L yet but I am trying to get as much info as possible. Hope you don't my picking your brain. Do you think the level of intellect at a second tier school is any less than at a 1st tier school? I doubt that it is but am just wondering what you think. Cause then perhaps it would stand to reason that one has a better shot at top 10% at a second tier school vs a 1st tier school? Is that correct?
