In Reply To: I have a top 15 undergrad degree (majors in math, economics, business) and have been working the past three years in consulting and tech. I've just started considering law school, maybe an MBA/JD program. I wouldn't plan to enroll until 2004, so I have a little time to think about it. Does anyone know of some good online resources to investigate careers in law? I'm looking for personality traits correlated with satisfaction in law, detailed day in the life (more than what's on Vault), different types of law careers that might appeal to me (ones that incorporate quant skills), etc. Just a general so-you-think-you-want-to-be-a-lawyer site. Thanks!
Message: If you want to see what attorneys (especially those in Biglaw) are really like (it's not a pretty picture) then check out the Greedy Associates Boards (www.infirmation.com). BTW, the MBA/JD combo isn't always a good choice. Don't get a JD unless you want to be a lawyer. If you want to stay in tech/consulting, get an MBA. The JD won't help you unless you practice law.
