Dear God!...I just read this whole board and my head is spinning. As a finance kid getting ready for law school in the Fall, I find myself constantly evaluating my options before signing that dreaded loan paperwork. My "master plan" with law school is to use it as a tool to reenter the Finance world rather than going the route of an MBA. This is based on what I witnessed at my last employer (CSFB-SF) - many of the new institutional brokers were coming from law school instead of B-school and suggested it as an advantageous route.
However, after reading this go***amn message board I'm seriously considering putting things off for another year (and definitely considering B-school instead).
If anyone has experience from a similar point of view...please comment ASAP.
Cheers. |

to know how to use a law degree to enter the finance world. More options are always nice.
Brokers coming straight out of law school? Very interesting. Do these brokers make decent money? What is it about law students that makes them worth recruiting over, say, MBA grads, or even just someone with a B.A.?
