For fall, I am looking at either Ohio State ($11K/year tuition) or Washington University in St. Louis($28K/year tuition). I have in-state in Ohio. I am open to practicing almost anywhere, maybe Boston or Florida, but I'd like to make $85K+ to start. I would like to do corporate/transaction work. Is the extra $34K in debt worth a high-ranked (25 v. 31) degree from Wash U.? |

I really do not have much of a preference where I practice, therefore I cannot make a decision based on that. I would be happy in St. Louis, Cleveland, Boston, Miami, Atlanta, etc.
Once I get the degree and practice for 3 years, does it matter much where I went to school? I think I'd like to move from a law firm (med/large) to in-house counsel. I guess it wouldn't matter much if I went to Wash U. or Ohio State, correct?
