In Reply To: Typically, everybody lists both undergrad and law school GPAs on their resumes. If you don't list your GPA because you're trying to hide the fact that it sucked, employers will know that your GPA sucked anyway by virtue of it being absent. And, since I'm telling it like it is, don't kid yourself. You're still in competition for 1L summer positions. The competition just isn't as crucial and life-altering as the competition you'll face as a 2L. Good luck.
Message: for 2L positions, are undergrad grades of any significant relevance? i feel for 2l positions, i'll have 1.5 years of law school grades to offer (i'm starting law school in the summer). also, if i don't list my gpa, how bad would they think my GPA is? After all, i obviously was a good enough student to get into the school (i'm going to michigan). my gpa will be like 3.3 by the time i graduate...given that my undergraduate program freely gives out the gentleman's B+, it's not very impressive at all (i've slacked off big time this year). also, i have a couple distinctions which would suggest that i'm not a total idiot, and I TA'd a couple of courses....on paper it actually might seem like i'm a good student.....do you still think that not putting my undergrad gpa will still lead the employer to expecting the worst?
