I am planning to apply to law school for fall '03, and UT-Austin is my top choice. I really want to tailor my essay when applying. Can anyone provide insight on what UT looks for in the essays and in their candidates? Every school says considers background, diversity, etc... But I was wondering if anyone (current student or knowledgeable about the school) knew of any specific criterion that the school emphasizes over others - commitment to public service seems to be one. Any other advice on the personal essay is also appreciated, for UT or in general. Thanks for the help!
