Message: Situation: Columbia has a program where they take in third year undergraduates without finishing college, so that they don't have to compete with rival schools. They offered me the Hamilton Fellowship, which would save $100,000 in tuition fees. This is obviously a very attractive deal. BUT, I won't be able to work before school (I wanted to try ibanking, and maybe try a JD/MBA later) and I won't be able to apply to Yale (I have a 3.96/178). I'm not sure whether I want to go academic, BIGLAW, or to business. So, should I wait or should I jump on this? What would the opportunities be like for getting into teaching or banking from Columbia?
