Okay, I'm going to have to start considering some of the 4th tier law schools just to be on the safe side. Are they really the bottom of the barrel? I mean obviously no one's gonna get a federal clerkship from one of these places but alot of them have placed a premium on practicality over theory. I am however worried about spending 20,000, getting mediocre grades and not finding a job. But is that a reality or just an unfounded, imagined fear? I am not after BIGLAW but I would like to become a lawyer making about 50K a year after graduating. Is this an okay option considering my modest aims? Thoughts from those in the know are greatly appreciated... |

Don't lump all usnews.com
4th tier schools as one school. There's wide variations among the 4th tier schools. It takes more research than usnews.com tier to make this decision. Let's talk specific schools you have in mind, and maybe folks can address them better.
