In Reply To: usnews.com rankings don't provide laser sharp indicia of the difference between 1st and 2d tiers. The choice on which school to attend should go beyond the rankings and focus on relative cost, proximity to the region in which you want to ultimately work, whether the school seems to offer good educational programs, the hiring stats from the school, the school's reputation in the market in which you want to end up, and a lot of things that usnews.com just doesn't measure well. I guess I'm saying that you should go beyond "1st tier, 2d tier", and go into what are the things that matter to you in your choice of law school.
Message: I met a girl last week - Harvard undergrad and Harvard Law. She's never practiced law and is trying to get into Investment Banking with little luck. This sounds like squandering a very good thing to me. Am I missing something?
