In Reply To: Wow...you are one bitter man! You seem to be quiet about letting us know your stats...so what state school did you go to? No harm in sharing with those of us who are in the process of deciding where to go. I'd like to know where you went for undergrad, your UPGA, your LSAT, and your law school, not to mention any prior work experience. Maybe you were just not as persistent in the job hunt or looked in the wrong places. Jobs are out there and it is a reality that the first job you land (whether right out of law school or not) is not going to be the most desirable. Life isn't easy bob_d, and working your way up the ladder is a fact of life. Every graduate of ALS that went to my undergrad school has had great success, both monetarily and job-wise, with their degree. I see nothing wrong with ALS but I see something definately wrong with a bad attitude.
Message: bob_d is clearly trying to give you sound advice and you are reluctant to hear anything bad about ALS. He apparently has been in the game longer than you so listen up, and quit hitting below the belt. I only say this because most of us here have been reading the boards for days trying to find comfort from other people's experience. Whether bob_d had bad experiences or not it's helpful. Plus, as a woman, I mostly hear from women that law school was a mistake. But these comments bounces right off. As about ALS I personally have been planning this for a few years, finishing my undergrad and trying to stay informed about LS. No one ever talks of ALS but than again I am in the west coast. But I am certain it is equivalent to Western in California. If you don't take criticisms well than forget law school because I hear law professors will eat people like you for snacks.
